Keywest was nominated by the United Way as a finalist in the “Welcome to United Way” category. Keywest ran a successful week-long United Way Campaign in September that raised at total of $17,122 for the United Way. The original employee fundraising goal was $3500. This number was more than doubled by employee donations and pledges, and then matched by Keywest.
Durin the campaign, employees could purchase “casual Friday” passes for the rest of the week. They also competed in a “Coin War” event to see whose jar could collect the highest amount in coins. Keywest also participated in a United Way Day of Caring, and helped to construct a playground in Tuscany.
Several Keywest employees attended the United Way Spirits of Gold Breakfast (photo above with the event host Dave Kelly), and had the opportunity to experience the awards ceremony and share in the vision of the United Way. Congratulations to all of the employees of Keywest for an amazing kick-off year with the United Way, and for making a positive and lasting impact in Calgary.
